Director Taylor and his family have lived in Alpine for over 30 years and​ graduated from San Diego State University with a BS in Business Administration (Accounting). Director Taylor has over 40 years of management experience in planning, operations, regulatory, and energy procurement with San Diego Gas & Electric.

He has been an AFPD Director since his election in 2016. He is also a longstanding member of Alpine Kiwanis serving on the Board of Directors (Treasurer) and the Foundation Board.​Director Taylor currently sits on the Board of Commissioners for Heartland Communications serving Alpine and other east county communities with 9-1-1 and emergency dispatch services. He also serves on the AFPD Financial Oversight Committee and the Labor Negotiation Committee.

Director Taylor strives to keep Alpine safe by providing exemplary fire, emergency and community services while managing within the local property tax revenues received from our community. Director Taylor believes that our employees are the district’s greatest asset and that our district motto “Service with PRIDE" is the best way to serve the community of Alpine.
