This area is NEW!!! It is LAW. The first 5' extending outward on a horizontal plain from the exterior wall surface including decks/patios shall be free of combustible materials. This means to remove existing plants, vegetation, trees (if trunk is located within the 5' zone), bark, mulch, WOOD FENCING!!
